Welcome to Sacred Thresholds

Hello I am Alison, a Celtic Spirituality Guide and Ritual Midwife.

My journey to Celtic spirituality and to becoming a ritual midwife for women has been lifelong but has intensified since I went on a pilgrimage in Ireland in 2011 with Amantha Murphy, an internationally respected Irish shaman and healer.

In 2013 I returned to Ireland to join Amantha in an Apprentice Week based on the Seabhean (Womyn’s Way) and Ancient Irish Shamanism and Spirituality.

I was initiated into the Celtic Wheel, the 8 ancient Irish Goddesses aligned with each point on the Wheel, ancient Irish wise woman practices and women’s rites of passage rituals.

Since then my roots have grown deep into the Divine Feminine in the land both in Ireland and Australia. I am on a lifelong journey of becoming a Bean Feasa (the Irish Wise Woman tradition). And so my vocation has unfolded in the most exciting and unexpected ways.

This encompasses:

• Honouring the Divine Feminine in all my work.
• Working closely with Ancient Irish Goddesses and in particular Brigid and An Cailleach.
• Educating and companioning people in exploring ancient Celtic Spirituality and the  Celtic Wheel with an emphasis on the Irish scared sites, land, mythology and Goddesses.
• Co-leading pilgrimages to Ireland focussing on the mysteries of the divine feminine in the land
• Writing and conducting rituals and ceremonies for the Celtic Wheel festivals for individuals and groups
• Working with women as they journey through their rites of passage
• Midwifing and conducting rituals and blessings by working with a person to customise their ritual using symbols, words and locations that have personal meaning
• Incorporating traditional Celtic herbs in my rituals and ceremonies  to create a sacred space, the connection to the divine and the spiritual essence of the plant world.
